My 3 day workshop was held in the Hotshops Art Center- a wonderful, old building that houses around 80 artists. We occupied a downstairs studio, very large, with wonderful light and sense of space. Our host, the creator of Expressive Workshops, Tom Dudycha, was a thoughtful and gracious host, also one of the attendees in the workshop.
I like to do warm ups every day after an introductory, informal lecture. Following that our first projects focused on working with soft pastels, then demonstrating the multitude of ways to work with them in combination with watercolor, collage, acrylics. During the course of the workshop we also worked with graphite powder as a painting medium .
Workshop produced quite a number of good works and we were quite happy with our time together. Success!
