I have just entered into a new phase of studio activity and thought I would share what has been happening in my studio this week. All are works in process except the last one- Harmonic in Gold and Silver- that is completed and framed.
I think that every artist has cycles of time in which there is no
psychic room for artistic production. Notice that I said production; it
has been my experience that these
" lulls" or voids, if you will,
are not empty at all, but are full in observation and introspection.
Indeed, the creative process seems to demand extensive periods of quiet
looking- a gestation period between spurts of activity.
