More About Storytelling......

It seems important to supplement the previous message of yesterday with a couple of pieces that I consider storytelling in art.  Dressing the Universe is a pastel and acrylic piece40"x30" about the Divine Feminine and its supported by a background of text that is actually a story I wrote consolidating about 20 years worth of titles.

The next piece, Our Home Is Toppling, oil on canvas, 24"x36" tells a different kind of story, not a joyous one, but a story nonetheless to which we can all relate on some level.

Powerful images affect each of us so differently and there is a profound reason why it was said by a character in Ivan S. Turgenev's novel Fathers and Sons, 1862:

"The drawing shows me at one glance what might be spread over ten pages in a book."
